I formed Coachella Valley GMRS as a public service. As well as being a lot of fun, GMRS radio is an excellent safety communication tool... The GMRS repeater often has coverage in places where cell phones do not, making it extremely valuable for hikers, offroaders, etc.. It can also be a community lifeline in any situation where cell phones may fail. Our repeater is also supported by a robust diesel generator system, so our communications will be solid even in the event of a complete power outage. I would be happy to come to your community, club or organization to educate and demonstrate the utility and fun of GMRS radio in the Coachella Valley.
